been driving the GN lately

white out

Well, my daily driver WRX spun a rod bearing on the rebuilt motor (some dumbasses from romeo attempted the rebuild and failed like the wnba). Anyways, I needed a car and the GN was the only vehicle available. So I have been driving it around Lansing. It does horrible in the snow, dosn't get over 150 degrees (that means no heat), and I have been getting lots of car washes. Anyways, here are some pictures from two weekends ago.

If you gotta get somewhere you gotta drive it. Still sucks :(

I bet it runs real nice in this col air!!!!

pulled the wastegate arm off because I was having overboosting issues when it was put in the garage. with the ammount of wheel spin I am getting, I do not want to overboost. not to mention that I do not want that kind of power with the tires being so cold.

Dude, sorry to here about your turn of events, but you're right... it is transportation and it'll work in a pinch. I certainly don't think any less of you or the car. Stuff happens.

That thing does look pretty bad ass how it contrast with the white snow! Nice GN!

Nice car, i think if i had heat in my camaro i still would've been driving it..its a good feeling. Yea the salt will eat at it but still fun to drive.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. You need to move where you can drive it everyday. Best thing I ever did. I hope you fix that other thing soon.

Nick,

You need a good, old-fashioned, horse-whipping for driving that beautiful GN in the salt!!!!!!!!!

It has seen michigan winters in '00, '04, '06, '08. So this isn't anything new for it, but I do wash it very, very often when it is taken out in this shit. I also have plans for body work this spring, so I am not too worried about the sheet metal. There is a little bit of bubbling between the door and rear wheel well, but nothing major and the underbody looks perfect.
The WRX should be done tomorrow, if it isn't I get a free loaner. I also have had the luck of using my dad's '07 Tahoe whenever it is available. So it helps.

salt every now and again isn't going to kill it. the people that kill cars are the ones that drive them every winter and wash them like once a month. it sucks but as long as you keep up on it you should be fine. michigan winters aren't getting bad enough anymore to warrant completely storing a car all year long.
