Beast of a bitch barstool racer

This is a custom 40 tooth ring gear I had made up. It was really heavily scared from the mill that was used to machine it, so it took me a while to clean it up to a mirror. There is also a stainless muffler there I polished up.

So far these are all the parts I have completed. I got the fuel tank brackets back from the chrome shop today too. They look awesome. I still have a pile of parts to polish, so it should be really sweet looking when it's done.

Thi camera I'm using sucks ass, but I don't have to re-size all the pictures with it. These are the Hex tie rods I picked up for it after I polished them up.

Here is the sprocket hub all polished up and the belt cover trim piece I made all polished up. I think I am going to add some blue to the small windows of the sprocket holder to make it pop a bit more.

So we are now disassembling for final weld. I did finish up the throttle linkage and went to Detroit Skate Board and picked up this blue anti-skid grip tape for the foot pegs.

Sorry. I got a little sidetracked on a tow vehicle I picked up. (07 Ram)

In any case, we are ready to finish weld everything, and head to paint or powdercoat. More pics to come.

So here we are. Now you can see all the brackets I had to fab up for everything. We got a few things welded up. All the barstool mounting cups and a few of the side step gaps. For reference, the whole bottom surface needs to welded. It's kind of therapeutic to sit out there and put some nice welds down after a shit day at work.

Sorry guys, life happens. Let's get this thing done now. We drug it out last weekend and finish welded it all up. Took the exhaust header to be jet coated, and dropped another piece off at ABC Chrome. (Thanks Bob!). So the next step is to clean up the frame for prime and paint and do the same to the air scoop. image.jpeg

I was able to find a house of colors purple candy that was almost a perfect match. I gave the sprocket I polished a little color in the windows to make it pop. image.jpegimage.jpeg

The color actually dose match, but my lighting wasn't the best for the pic today.

Bad ass!! Keep it up! Seeing this makes me want to dig my minibikes out of the shed. Maybe this winter....

Got it started and let it run for the first time today. Than I did something stupid and grabbed the exhaust pipe to move it!!! Dumb ass!! At least I had the right shirt on for it. Now I'm sitting here with silver oxide cream all over my hand.

Was going thru some old pictures and found these pics of my Rat Fink Racer I built. The torn off side steps turned out really great. Hard to see, but I had ping pong balls painted up like eyeballs in the front foot pegs, the pipe was from an old motorcycle, and the velocity stacks had the injector lines and a fake distribution block. It was hard to ride with the ape hanger handle bars though. The frame was powder coated green with red metal flake.
