Be honest - Thoughts on this car (Sorry not a mustang)

I am getting it this sometime in the next week or so. (NEED to borrow a Trailer to get it to Macomb from St. Clair Shores - 14 miles)

Was a good friend of my Brother-In-laws and wife who had passed (RIP), well his wife contacted me and asked if I wanted it yesterday.

It is real rough and has been sitting for 7-8 years. My plans are so get it on the road and drive it for the most part as is. I like the snotty look honestly. From what I can remember, before he passed about 2 years ago he and I talked about the car and he was thinking of selling it to me. He said it was a built 350 (?), with the double hump (camel back) Iron heads, choppy cam (Not sure it solid, flat tappet or roller) RPM Intake and Holley on top, Beefed up Trans w/stall (Th350 forgot to look at the pan), Posi rear setup with ladder bars and I have no clue what else. It needs a lot of love... Bad leak around the back window (Very common for these cars), but all the floors, rockers, trunk pan look pretty solid. Has some bubbling in areas, can see in the pics below.

Looking for feedback LOL20150623_151037_resized.jpg 20150623_151448_resized.jpg 20150623_151816_resized.jpg 20150623_152038_resized.jpg

give it a bath, stop the rust, modern suspension, lsx drivetrain drive the piss outta it.

I even like the color

and before Mark asks, yes it has A/c but it doesnt work

Should be fun, rip vinyl off roof and plastidip

And i am sure you have spare wheels for it

Oh yeah (get a uhaul trailer)

Def Ugly... Would be great with modern suspension and LSx, but not in the budget just "yet". post more "UGLY" pics soon!

Could be a cool car with some love. The color is not great and the body is far from good, but it could be fun.

Depending on your plans for the car, it could be a ton of work or it could be a really easy build.

If you want a black interior, red paint with black stripes/no rust then you are in for some work

to be honest. its to far gone to save and be cost effective,
Not looking to restore at all. Just get it driving on its own safely Brakes, wheels/tires, change all fluids, check valve springs, Oil pressure, rebuild carb, cap, rotor, wires, etc.... and stop the rear window leak (if possible)

Sweet. I've got a sweet spot for this era/style of cars. First "muscle" car I ever drove was my dad's 72' Chevelle when I was a kid and that started the obsession.

I think its cool as hell. put some good exhaust on it with some bullets, maybe even like a single 4 inch. buy a good converter for it, clean it up make it safe and youll have ALOT of fun in it.

"beater" cars like that, that make enough power to spin the tires, and that sound cool are tons of fun. you can drive it/park it anywhere walk away from it and not worry.

get the carb and timing dialed in, and the right converter can make anything feel fast from stoplight to stoplight.
