Need to put a new battery in the Mustang. Car doesn't have a huge sound system or a lot of electronics in it. Just looking for a good battery for a summer time cruiser. Don't know if an optima is worth the money. Battery is still mounted in the engine bay, so it must fit under the hood.I will be getting the biggest battery I can that will fit, so thats not a concern. I dont care about the weight since I really don't race the car.

I was never impressed with my experience from Optima batteries. They weren't worth the premium in my opinion. If you find one you want on Advance auto parts site have it shipped to store and use the code TRT41. Should save you $40.
 
Don't waste your money on an Optima, doesn't really fit your need. Send a PM to Reiko, he'll set you up with a great battery and a good price.
 
Thanks guys! Wasn't really sure about the optima, but it sounds like its not worth it. Thanks Nick, didn't think to pm Reiko. I''l do that later. What other brands are good? Are Diehards still good or have they gone away with everything else at Sears?
 
I just have a autovalue right now in my car works good for my needs also have one in my explorer with 2 12s and a amp for my door speakers no problems
 
I got my red top optima for 60 bucks from battery tech in brownstown.....looks like brand new....0 problems, you might want to check them out 734-942-2200
 
whats the warranty on yellow tops ?? I got warrantied from autozone yrs ago..
ive got another hear that wont take a charge but i have no idea how old it is.. and the sticker is long gone..
 
Anytime any of you need a battery....call me. We get used batteries in these cars that are just replaced. I've sold batteries that are between 2 months old to 1 year old.

New batteries at auto parts stores are $95 to $135 dollars.

Where would they need to be picked up?
 
I use Earls battery, but the above posting is a little cheaper. Next time I will go there if he will post the name and location, or PM me.

If you guys want a battery with a longer warrenty mine start at $50 and have lifetime warranty...
