Balancing Drag Radials

I just ordered a set of M&H's and was wondering if they should be balanced. I've read that some people do and others say they never had and had no vibration issues. What do ya think?

Can always be done later?? Just had my hoosiers mounted/balanced.. Sounded like a package deal hahaha end result. Smooth at 130+

I have heard that its a waste because its common for them to spin on the rim over time.

This. Plus you're only going to get a vibration at a constant speed. If you're going a constant speed at the drag strip, you're doing it wrong.

I don't balance my roadrace tires anymore and have no noticed any ill effects.

I'm not at a point mine spin on the wheels, and on this last set of BFG DR's one of the tires was WAY off! I rotated it on the wheel thinking it was to do with the wheel and that the guys who initially did it were on the sauce. I took it somewhere else and same result, way too much weights, just 180° out from me rotating the tire on the wheel 180°. It vibrated horribly during passes prior to being balanced (doing it right ;) ). I've always just mounted them up, if I don't notice a bounce then I leave them alone.

I didn't bother balancing my rear M&H's No noticeable vibration the few times I've had it on the expressway. None driving around town either
