Bad Buying Experience:StealthRTSC

i really dont think anyones "judgeing" you. From what we see..he offered you cash..you denied it. You then told him youd hold onto it. Maybe not a full blown out deal..but i agree...he took your word and you backed out on it without him knowing. Im sure youd be alittle upset yourself if you had an agreement like that only for the person to sell it outright. just my .02

He was informed the day of me getting rid of it... I didnt give it away and wait 2 weeks to tell him..

i get that part..no arguement there. It was something it sounds like he knew he wanted, he offered money. You refused money(which i cant blame you for wanting him to look at it first) Thats where the deal gets screwed up. Just like mike said..someones word is shit these days. I guess some of us still trust a persons word..and thats what screws it all up eventually.

the funny part is YOU approached Jeff about the Snowmobile pipes and asked if he still had them. then you backed out of trading the pipes so he offered you cash. You then never informed him till he finally got ahold of you that you had already given the bike to someone else. He didnt come on here to bash you. just to let other motown members that your "word" is pretty much worthless

the way i see it is these days people need money fast. he held it and you took to long to go see it, someone else came and bought it.

kinda shady for him to say he will hold it but i wouldnt hold that against some one times are tuff keep looking for one.

I personally think that the threadstarter is overreacting a bit. It's not like you gave him a deposit or anything... or drove all the way out to his place only to find out it was sold. Or he kept money and didn't deliver, made you haggle over a refund for weeks, etc.....

:dunno:

If this is the worst online buy experience that you ever have, you are a very fortunate man.

well that works 2

its not like u took the deposit. so i dont really see anything major wrong.

the other guy is getting a lil 2 worked up about this little mess if u can even call it that.

ya i heard about this whole thing. the mods spend all that time posting up rules for selling shit in hopes that the posters are trust worthy by setting restrictions and then the guys that do pass sometimes fail too...my .02

u changed your mind about selling it. there is no big deal other then the other dude overreacting.. its not like you took any money down.

bro you told me in the text you lost my number and didnt respond to pm's during the week either so how did you plan on letting me know and when. like I told you in our texts it is what it is and it was bad business on your end. when you are dealing with people online all that there is to go by is other peoples past experiences, like feedback on ebay, and in your case i had a bad experience and wanted to let the other guys on here that might buy from you and you promise that you will hold something for them that they cant trust your word, that's all, and im not lying by saying that because you proved it in the way you handled the situation

I never one called you a liar, or said you gave bad info. If you refur back i empty the txt messages on my phone per 100's, thats all my phone holds. 3000 txt a month i delete txt 30 times. Its bound to happen i misplace a # that wasn't called.

its not my worst but its my first bad one on motown, because maybe I trust the people on this site too much, but frankly i have met and know a lot of them and didnt think a motown guy would back out on his word

This just seems like a bit of bad timing and tough communication on a fairly small purchase or lack there of. You lost no money, no items, no time, no gasoline..... :dunno: I don't think it deserves a big "callout" thread like this.

IMHO, that's all.
