Thanks, I condsidered it but I might as well build it if Im going to go through the nightmare of pulling it.I have a trans out of an 03 Silverado, ran fine when we pulled it. Pm if interested.

Ill try my best to explain, but keep in mind that I didnt have reduced power, I had zero throttle control. First, I checked all of the wire connections for continuity and for proper voltage from the TAC, to the pedal sensor, to the throttle body, all OK for me (I've read that the wires near the throttle body, on OEM harnesses, can be a problem area). I then checked the resistance values for the 2 pedal position potentiometers, within the APP and had no continuity. This ment to me that the pedal sensor (APP) was bad. I purchased a new Dorman one from Advanced for $75 and installed. This still didnt work, no throttle control yet. I got pissed and went on craigslist and found a TAC and pedal from a 04 silverado, plugged these in and it worked. I had to modify my DBW pedal to fit in the s10 and the one i bought looked like it came off the damn titanic so I really didnt want to put the used pedal I just bought in there. I then took the APP off of the used pedal I just bought and swapped it over to the pedal I already had, now it didnt work, no throttle. This ment that there was something wrong with the original pedal assy itself. So after some research, I was able to find a key peice of info. The APP is spring loaded and rests on a "home position" when not attached to the pedal assy. The pedal assy pivot point is a steel shaft with a flattened key that turns the APP when throttle is commanded. The point here is that the APP can not be resting on the "home position" when the ECU reads the resistance values on start up. It wants the APP to be a little off of "home." The failure, at least in my case, comes from the press fit of the pedal pivot pin. Somehow, my pivot pin had twisted allowing the APP to rest on the "home position". Apparently most people just by a new pedal assy and its fixed. All I had to do is remove the APP from the pedal assy and use a pair of visegrips to turn the pivot pin to where it was supposed to be. I used the used pedal assy I had just purchased as a reference. It looked to me that if you had the pedal on a bench, the key should be vertical, straight up and down. See the pic I whipped up.What was the resolution... pics are cool but I'm dying to know what worked for you.
My truck only seems to do the reduced engine power in cold weather... it hasn't happened since winter, but all the sudden it did it to me one day earlier this week.
This truck is soooo cool I always want to build a ranger like this one!

Yep, thats why I went with the AWD. These things have a rep for not hooking up. Mine does though!Very cool! My buddy has a 91 with a ls1 in it. It has a ms3 cam and ls6 intake and a Detroit true track 3:73 with at nice 4l65 trans. She screams down the road and roast the tires like it on Ice. Lol
