it was a joke for me when my car was in it a few years back...a (forget what year) all red cutlass won over my car...that guy never opened his hood, doors, or trunk all fucking weekend, in fact i never even say the guy at his spot....my shit was all opened up all weekend...he must have known someone.

I've never really been big on the judging there. The only award worth winning there IMO is the Riddler. All of the classes there only have 3, maaaybe 4 people in them. Whoopty-freakin-do, you won first place out of 3 spots, each of which will get a trophy.

To me it's a great place to go down and see a bunch of really cool cars, but the judging (and even the admission choices sometimes) is a little flakey.

If it makes you feel any better, I'll only check yours out and won't even look at the other one.

Ill look at the floor and be like "TRAILER QUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN"

I will tell the girls not to look at the other one ;)

Just be thankful there is only one other one going to be there.

the last time i had a car upstares there there were 9 cars in my class.

but, the show always has been a who you know show for the most part.

Glad I read the thread to see you meant Cobra Jet. I was going to ask when you got an old Jeep and doesn't it feel like a Power Wheels when you drive it?

slickstang is one of those people that is in the know...... im litterly looking at his judging fourms from last year and they pick your shit apart, they dont look at how cool the car is they look at how nice its done, ITS NOT WHO YOU KNOW, its how clear the car is done, carl lost best paint because there was a spec of rubbing compound underneath the headlight...........

whoda thunk it

a cobra jet mustang ...

being a me too car!!

"trunk ", you can have my daughters derby car to put in its place
that will mess with them

My dad entered the show for 4 years with his hot rod and there were usually only 3 total in his class, one year 4. I'm glad to hear it though, it means a lot more when there's some competition.

Well, there will be more than 2 there....

LOL

:secret:

So I'm running around doing all kind of shit for this fucking show. Come to find out there will be another CJ pretty across from mine. What a fucking waste of time and money. I figured mine would be the only one in the show.

:swear:

I think allot of people miss the whole picture of this show It is not all about the trophy's, don't get me wrong it is nice to win one., but i was just happy to be in one of the best custom car shows in the country. to me it kinda was a honor.
yes I am sure their is some "who you know" but as Danny said I am somewhat in the know and I got my judges sheets after the show and I was quite surprised what they found on my car "oil pan gasket sealant oozing out"
"small oil leak" "polish under headlamp"how did they catch these items if its all about who you know.

And even if their is only 1 car in your class and you do get a trophy What is wrong with that

I never thought My car was anything special until the first day the show started and I probably answered 500 questions. If I had a nickle for every cell phone picture that was taken of my car I would be rich. and to me my car is just a nice Mustang but to hundreds of others that thought it was pretty sweet.

TRUNK you will have a good time:cheers:
