here are the newest pics of the car my school Roseville high school is taking to the autorama in march. the vega was painted at united automotive in imlay city and it is the worst paint job i've ever seen the car and the hatch don't match. theres runs and bubbles and they had it since December but it looks like rush job and the decals were done horribly. we practically have to sand it down and repaint it ourselfs. the only thing left is the electrical and the aluminum work to be put back in.

ya the paint looks alright in pictures and far away but this is the autorama you can settle for ok it has to be perfect. in the top pic you can see paul tregembo jr. talking to rick of rick's tire and wheel the owner of the car. his dad still teaches there too.
 
i see Sr. hes hiding behind Jr. lol

what happen to all the aluminum

and arent they taking the willys done there again this year
 
i need to bring my car up there. I wonder if they would even remember me.

Ask them about the Daytona we built with the LT1 that smashed into the pole with Sr. driving it. That was a mess...
 
oh ya i can see his shiny head. the aluminum needs to be polished and put back in after the vega is repainted.

im sure sr. and jr would remember you. and ill be sure to ask him about that tommarow

I just saw that Vega body on a flatbed the other day. I was next to it at a traffic light.

I was going to take a picture but was too lazy :haha:
