Auto Alarm Help??

I have a Valet alarm with keyless and romote start on my truck. A few weeks ago it just stopped working. No more flashing light and nothing works. I checked all the fuses and all looked good. Does anyone have any Ideas what the problem could be? Or know of a shop that can replace whatever is wrong with it? I do not want to pay out $400.00 for a new system. Plus I can't afford to shell out that money right now do to Christmas. If you have any ideas please help me out. I tryed disconnecting the battery wire and that didnt help. I also turned the key forword and held down the Vellet thing under the dash with no luck. Thanks in advance for all help!!
 
sounds like the brain may be fried, you can take it to a circuit city, they sell DEI. Ask them to look at it.

How old is it? I might be able to get it covered under DEI warranty.
do you know the model number?? also, dont take this the wrong way but its a common problem, did you check the batteries in the remote??

It's about 2 years old or so. It was on the truck when I bought it 10 months ago. I replaced the batterys and the little green light on the remote flashes so that should be good. I was at curcuit city and they still sell the one I have im not sure of the model #. If you can help me out that would be great.. Thank you, Kevin
