Aurora Security system

I had to change the battery on my dads 01 aurora this morning and now the security system wont let me start it when u turn the key it makes a clicking sound but wont crank over and where the display in the center is it says security system fault. so how do i over ride or bypass this?

its an 01 but he ended up jumping it and it started up which is a little weird since it was a new battery might have been on the shelf for a while
