ATV Question

I'm trying to take an old ATV out of the mothballs so I can sell it. It's a Chinese Honda copy, 110cc, about 6 yrs old. Got it out, new battery, new gas, cleaned carbs, got it started, ran great for about 15 minutes. Then it stalled while idling. Now I have no spark. Plenty of fuel. I'm thinking either the CDI box (which was melted slightly from sitting on the muffler, or the coil.

Quesiton is, are these CDI boxes testable? A new on is $5, and I ordered it. I have no idea how to test a coil. I've checked all the wiring on the machine and it looks good, just no spark. Anyone have any insights as to what I could check?

Will do. I've got the CDI box on the way as of this last wekend. Hopefully should be running by this weekend and ready to go. Been ridden very little.

stick your tongue on the end of the spark plug and crank it over a few times.... works for 9v batteries?
