Alright I know turbos sometimes burn oil but I think my turbos are messed up. I purchased two brand new precision turbos ball bearing this year for my kit, got it tuned and running and Im not comfortable. The car DOES not smoke at idle or driving but only when I floor it you cannot see the car behind me. I run straight 110 leaded gas full time, 11.1 afr 18 degrees of timing 14lbs of boost. I went to change the oil yesterday and saw this .... let me say that both impeller and turbine are perfectly dry but the tailpipes have a bit of oil in them if i stick my fingers in them. First pic is of where i believe the oil to be leaking from..

I'm definitely no turbo expert but if I had to guess, I'd say you are flowing more oil into the turbo than you can flow out of it. I'm going to guess you either have a restriction in the oil lines back to the pan, the turbos aren't mounted high enough and need a scavenge pump, or if you have a high volume oil pump you might need a restrictor in the feed lines. Just guessing, though.

Sorry, I'm no help. :(

Also add the crankcase needs to be vented as well

It definately looks like a drain issue, just need to find out why. normally when I see this happen at WOT its usually the crankcase not sufficiently venting the blowby. And as stated before, high oilpressure may require a restrition and is very common.

Also, where were you yesteday?? I was waiting to give you your third shot!

the car has the oil restrictors in them that precision provided. i have the frpp cobra high volume pump. the valve covers have an allstar catch can plumbed into them. i don't know how to relieve anymore crank pressure without a vaccum pump or something?the trubos are about 12 inches higher than the pan. drain is a -10 it has a 45 at the top

yesterday i was working and golfing need to add a maf xtender before i take her wideopen plus i need to install the blitz controller i got tuesday and want to switch to a 3.55

rick , phil and others have a valve cover breather even with a pvc system

I use one too but I'm not FI

How big is the orifice in each restrictor that they sent with the turbos? I'm just curious. It took a .100 restrictor to stop mine from smoking, plus a -12 drain. I think Harlan blew up a turbo once with a .060 restrictor.

Yep boys and girls... the breathers work. I saw 20psi for bit yesterday with just a little oil spray. :D

So I'd get that done first.

What's your oil pressure like at WOT?

Wastegate hose split and she stayed shut without the fuel to go anywhere.

The guys at Best Machine and Phil play hardcore though. So she shook it off and came back for more. I just need to figure out what's up on the wastegate hoses. :)
