Apparently, you can't fix stupid in Camp Mustang...

The tail end is definitely different than before.

That front splitter is HUGE! But I am diggin' that satin white paint...looks like the same color as the Z06X track car from a few years back.

I hate the rear of the 2014, the new tails are ugly. I do think the Z28 will be an impressive car on the track. Its hard to beat it on paper.

Agreed - although I personally think the looks have improved slightly. I also really like the fact that they put the car on a diet (-300lbs). And, knowing what they have been able to do with the 1LE cars, I think this thing will destroy on the track. My new concern is - is it approaching Corvette territory and will Chevy limit potential because they don't want to step on the toes of it's elite customer base?

I don't see anything to limit potential happening with it, other than the fact that they just reduced the weight of the rear seat instead of dumping it altogether. I don't really see where you reduce the performance potential of the car when you come out and say what it is with the 305 Pirelli DOT R compounds, multimatic DSSV dampers, carbon brakes, LS7, etc. and with that CAI, if anything the power rating has to end up higher than the Z06 power rating. It really just comes down to where you price it really. Seems like an odd car to price given the other Chevy offerings and where they sit.

I've wondered what the market will really be fore this car since the first time I saw the carbon brakes on one of the test cars. I have no clue what the pricing will be but Matt's shot at it in the other thread seems pretty accurate.

So you've got a guy that can spend over $50,000 on a Camaro. He can get one with 580 HP, big ass steel Brembos, HIDs, a radio, MR shocks, etc. Or he can get one with 500 HP, carbon brakes, no radio, multimatic shocks, etc. This guy hasn't ever been to a road course in his life, most likely. Which one is he going to buy? Seems like a no brainer that he's taking the ZL1 if he wants to drive it. Leaving this type of buyer to only buy the Z28 if he wants to park it in his garage as part of his collection.

I think it's bad ass GM is making this car. I just struggle to see the market for it.

I wonder if the radio is missing anything radio wise, as in it is just there because it is integral to the HVAC controls, or if it is fully functioning and just only has one speaker to play through.

Would be cheaper (and lighter) to build a radio silverbox that only ran the HVAC controls (I wonder if that happened?!?). I could redo it all no problem I just would like to have the factory option that would push me over the edge :D

Thankfully, GM doesn't need your marketing input. It is pretty sad when you rag on GM because they make too many awesome Camaro's. Get over it.

When I say i think it is bad ass GM is making the car I hardly see that as ragging on them for it. Do you just come into this thread at this point looking for a post to argue with?

Anyone have a graph or spreadsheet comparing all of the current Camaro's being produced? I know someone here is good at making spreadsheets and graphs!! :slomo:

Way to be a dickhead to constructive criticism. Two thumbs up to you sir. "GM doesn't need your marketing input" ? Really? I believe he's a consumer, and obviously a car guy, aka THE MARKET.

And hell, I want one. If I were looking to buy a car in it's price range, there's a good chance I'd buy it. I love ridiculous things that seem hard to have justified the production of but somehow made it to production anyway. The best thing about those things, they are pretty rare and it helps them retain a bunch of value.
