Apparently, you can't fix stupid in Camp Mustang...

Also, I noticed something while looking that up - Ford actually had a dyno a the Auto show last year - remember? This seems odd for a company that deosn't care about specs or numbers. I m sure there is a logical explanation you will tell me in another 500 word dissertation.

Like I said, can you show me an auto manufacturer in the history of the world EVER that hasn't published or advertised the hp number of a car? The answer is, of course, no. Ford has been dragging dynos to auto shows and places like Barrett Jackson for years. People like loud noises from engines that sound good. If this somehow bothers GM, please write an open letter and maybe they'll stop.

I will just say one more thing about this.

As a long time Mustang guy, and a guy who owns mustangs now, and will own more later......I would be royally PISSED if the GT500 got it's ass kicked in the 1/4 by a Camaro, and the only thing I could say in it's defense was that it was faster on a road coarse half way around the world

Most Mustang enthusiasts enjoy these cars on the street and the drag strip, so Ford did the right thing by producing a GT500 that someone can buy and cruise and just HOPE to pull up next to a ZL1 so that they could just ABUSE that poor stroke.

x2

In this country one does not "autocross" from stoplight to stoplight, they drag race. So the "ring" or whatever other bullshit road coarse is irrelavant to what the drivers here intend to do with these cars.

Here is a press release where they directly compare the GT500 to the ZL1. So I guess they only care about stats when they are in Fords favor?

Be happy that the only salt they chose to rub in the wound after the months of crying and whining Al O did. That engine certification piece was from April, months after the car intro. Ford never said a word about how their car routinely went mid 11's @ 127+ during testing, even after GM had to put out a ridiculous hero video trying to convince their customers the ZL1 would run "11's all day" after all the high 12's (and worse) started showing up on the internet.

So do stats matter or not? You keep saying they don't, but everything Ford does says they do. Did you see the little maps of Nurburgring on the backs of the Mustang? Or are you so blinded by denial that your brain won't even process it?

I don't drive anywhere that doesn't have turns, so I think you could look at that both ways.

You saw the little maps, right, because that takes commitment. It mattered enough to Ford to send two cars back all done up with logo's.

You seriously have to be retarded dude. I'm not even gonna try explaining the stat thing anymore because you're obviously just going to keep ignoring reality. "Ha! If Ford didn't care about stats they wouldn't tell people how much HP their cars have!" Wow. You are one slow ass person (slower than a ZL1? Maybe.). And we've been over the "some people go to the ring for vehicle dynamics, some guys go to make hero runs for marketing" thing a billion times.

Enjoy being on Team Obama Mom Jeans. Remember, yellow transformers is best! Explosions!

I've seen cal cars at work with a Vail sticker, and a honey badger sticker (no joke). Why didn't GM publish the time those cars ran at Vail and honey badger international raceway? Or for that matter the time for the ATS that also has a Nurburgring sticker on it?

What was that quote I posted earlier about all the information that can be gained from one lap of the 'ring and how many tracks you would have to go to in the US to get that same info?

This is a silly attempt at an argument.

Don't bother dude. He's drinking the Al O juice, barely coming up for air.

I totally agree about the development side. But Ford took two production cars there, complete with custom stickers. This cars were almost on sale when that video was posted.

Enjoy Egypt Cleopatra, you are the queen of denial after all.

If you want, explain why they would take two production cars there all decked out for a photoshoot. Yea, I didn't think so.

The only ones I know about are the VIR cars. And they did publish videos. Did you even look on youtube?

-Geoff

Seriously, can someone explain this to me? Because this means they went twice to the ring, and never posted a time. How many more times did they go? Anyone?

Have to agree. Power doesn't mean shit unless you can put it to the pavement.

What I want to know, is why Mustang owners HATE Camaros so much, but most of the Camaro owners I have known like Mustangs as well.

It's like an inferiority complex. You see it in a lot of MSU alum. They have the same attitude against U of M AA students.

Decked out. You mean the $1 sticker you can buy in the Nurburgring gift shop somebody stuck on the decklid? I have some spares from the last time I was there if you want one so you can put it on your bumper, so then you too can be "decked out" for a photoshoot.

Have you ever left Metro Detroit?

Check out all these bad ass custom decked out things I've seen!

Printer - decked out

Banjo - decked out

Now to be fair, I will not be disclosing the ring times for any of these items. Therefore, one can assume that their ring times are subpar, given that they are "decked out" with "custom stickers."

'Ring time or not, that banjo is one bad mofo with that sticker. I read somewhere they did most of the chassis tuning at the Tail of the Dragon. True?

Z/28

LS7, carbon brakes, optional A/C (Just for Mark?), radio delete, 300# lighter than ZL1.

Do they have laptimes yet?
