Apparently, you can't fix stupid in Camp Mustang...

Touché, sir. Touché. Lol

So what's it like knowing that a muscle car built by a private entity is slower than the one built by the Feds?

And that shit pains me to know end. I was anti bailout all along.

I don't know, but I have to get this out of my sig before my computer catches on fire. This is a pyrrhic victory.

And some of the best looking vehicles out there. I can't say anything about Quality, but I'm inclined to believe it's much better than it used to be.
Only the srt stuff uses well used to use quality parts. I'm not sure they would change or upgrade anytime soon.

Speaking of douches, next time you talk to the chief engineer (or whatever they call it) at Ford, please thank him for me for sending his top gun car and driver to Germany, going to the track, then keeping the time a secret - making you pretty much look like a douche in every post.

“No other facility in the world is like this. You can accomplish more here in one lap around the ring than you can on dozens of tracks in the U.S.,” said Dave Mikels, energy and powertrain integration engineer. Mikels and his colleagues on the ATS team are Nürburgring-certified performance test drivers.

Seems like money well spent to send a car there to test. Cheaper and less time consuming than sending it to dozens of tracks in the US.

Way to rationalize. How about this for rational - Ford built this car to get big numbers. Why would they scream their horsepower and 1/4 mile times from the rooftops, but keep their track times secret?

Does anyone in this thread have a stock or near stock (exhaust, etc) 2012-2013 Camaro SS that would be willing to test against my 2013 Mustang GT to see what's up?

I still prefer the Mustang even if it proves to be slightly slower in stock form, but for some reason I don't think it is. Mine does have exhaust on it though.

I think a real world shootout would be fun.

The 1LE was made to compete with the track pack GT, not the Boss 302.

I couldnt even find it on the GM website with avalible options to dispute that. They've got the 1SS, 2SS, and ZL1. Everything I read indicated that it had suspension modifications, same powertrain as the SS.

I cannot wait for the next gen Camaro... :D Should make the fight a bit more...interesting!

Is there really any comparison?

You could be a really big fan of shitty Michael Bay movies aimed at people with an IQ of 6, in which case I can see how the Camaro would be very appealing.

"I seen a yellow car and it turned into a robot, and then it blowed stuff up, and then I bought one so I could have a yellow car that was a robot that blowed stuff up at my house!"

Raj, I'll agree with you there. In the looks department the mustang has the Camaro beat hands down. This coming from a guy who has never liked the mustang styling.

I think the mustang and camaro are more different now than they ever were, but are still very close in the performance department, which is awesome. Certainly makes for good debate.

I wouldn't be scared of a 1LE anyhow. I seriously think the mustang is faster when driven properly.

Plus....Mustangs look like this:

And Camaros look like this:

Is there really any comparison?

Totally agree

This, along with your avatar, just made my day sir. +1 to you!

Ford didn't advertise any zero to sixty or 1/4 miles times or any laptimes. The media did.
So all your bitching about not releasing times at any track is completely base less.

I am pretty sure they announced the Horsepower the day the ZL1 was announced. It seems like all they cared about was the numbers. They even geared it so they could get to 60 without shifting so they could have a great time for that. Your degree of denial is actually getting pretty funny.

You seriously cannot be this dumb to be told over and over and over that Ford never did any kind of press release dictating the 0-60, 1/4 mile, 0-150 mph etc numbers for the car and yet continue to try and act like they did.

Wait...did you like Transformers?
