Anyone sell Stihl equipment?

I'm looking to buy a new chainsaw. They're pretty much all fixed price. I have a MS362CM on order at a few places but the earliest estimated delivery is Weingartz in October.

I'd consider a MS462CM.

Weingartz has a MS500i on the shelf I'm considering.

I lied.

Weingartz doesn't have shit anymore.

I ended up buying a MS462CM from a mom and pop shop in Dexter.

How do you like your 361?

I think I am going to downsize to:
Echo 2311T with a non-cat Canadian muffler and a 14" bar.
1x MS250 bone stock other than muffler and 18" bar.
1x MS250 definitely not bone stock and 18" bar.
1x MS250 new in box (spare)
MS462CM with a 28" bar. I think I'm going to pick up one of the lightweight 28" bars from Weingartz. Seems everyone online wants the same or more for them. The mom and pop shop could get me a deal on one but it was backordered. This thing does not balance with a standard 28" bar on it. I think the bar and chain weigh what the whole 2311T weighs.

I mostly use the bone stock other than muffler MS250 and now the Echo 2311T. 90%+ of my cutting time are with a top handle saw. I usually limb it then cut the wood off one-handed into the back of a trailer. Now that I've had a bunch of different top handle saws over the years (my favorite being a cheapo Sindawa/Hitachi cheapy long out of production... super torquey and super quiet) I pretty much have settled on the tiny Echo 2311T. Have tried a bunch of others and used a Stihl MS201T for quite a while. I actually liked the MS193T a little better. But the Echo 2311T is super light and does fine on 5" and smaller hardwoods, which is what I do most of my easy cutting on (limbing). Other than being a bit loud, it's easy to use all day.

I like the MS250s because at $300 you don't feel bad dropping it and running for your life.

I used to have a MS661CM with a 28" bar but sold it last year for more than I paid for it due to the pandemic. I didn't like using it because it's heavy and it always made me nervous as a fat old office worker using it. Complacency is what gets you hurt... when I cut firewood usually it's dark to dark event.

I still have a MS362CM on order but I think I'll cancel it. Doesn't weigh much less than a MS462CM.

I think I'm going to sell my MS261CM. Seems to be going for a pretty penny right now and one of my friends keeps asking about it.

I have a TON of large trees down. Normally I have maybe 2 24"+ trees down a year, most are 18" or smaller. A couple weeks ago I ended up with dozens down.

361 has been a great saw, many great years out of it. Haven’t used it much since the 261 and 462 came along. I run the 462 with a lightweight 24” bar and the 261 with a 16” standard weight bar. I’d love to add a top handle to the mix but the 261 works fine for limbing. I don’t make a living with the saws so they work fine and better than what most home people have.

The ms192 top handle saw was a game changer for me. I use that saw more than any of my others.
