On my tow rig (2002 Silverado 2500HD with the 6.0/4L80E) I used a SuperChips handheld a few years back. While the SC worked fairly well I suspect there is a bit more power hiding in that PCM.
Even with the SC set on "performance". Requiring 93 octane and no towing. I have found that pulling 7,000 lbs running 87 octane is no problem.
Not to mention the SC did not get rid of torque management.
Anyone around with the knowledge and savvy that can do a re flash ?
