Anyone put a Hellcat motor in anything yet?

Has anyone heard of or put a Hellcat 6.2 Hemi into anything yet? I haven't seen much yet other than Roadkill's 1968 Charger in which they swapped literally everything from a Hellcat into the charger (engine, trans, fuel system, cooling system, steering column, cluster, console, etc) all things I don't have access to. I've read a little about Gas Monkey doing their Dart Hellcat swap, but not much. To my understanding Diablosport helped in getting it to fire up. Even with the stock Chrysler PCM it still wouldn't fire due to other miscellaneous things being unplugged. Poked around on Diablo's website a bit and couldn't find anything regarding the Hellcat engine tuning. Maybe I'll call them tomorrow. I wonder if it's possible to swap the 6.2 in anything using just the engine harness and PCM? I don't know what all else it needs to properly run. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

There's a project in the works where a fellow is putting a HELLCAT engine in a Superbird...Affectionately called HELLBIRD.

Of course the MOPAR purists are yelling FOUL on this one. :)

Have there been any done that Chrysler hasn't been supporting/bank rolling? I recall being told at Roadkill nights the crate engine wasn't even available yet. Is it available now? Is the only engine in the hands of some random guy the one they gave away at Roadkill Nights? Those guys didn't have much of a plan for the powertrain they won.

the one in the jeep at SEMA they just pulled out of a hellcat. i think the guy said they have 3-4 engines ready to go in stuff.

for $350k they'll build you a 6 wheel hellcat swapped jeep. they start talking about the jeep at 1:55.

I can see where big money Lance is going with this. Hellcat in his red 'Cuda would be awesome. Do it bro....

No 6.2 crate engine currently.

i know of one Hellcat in a salvage yard under 5k miles , car was spun into a bunch of trees, they want 25k for motor, trans, harness and PCM

25k for that stuff is cheaper than buying a whole car to remove the engine I guess. Buying a car to take the engine out and put it in a Jeep is crazy talk. They have to sell the roller right? I wonder what a Hellcatless roller is worth.

I have a hellcat engine and 8 speed trans. Probably not going to use the trans at this point, will likely go th400 or powerglide. But need to figure out a way to power it in my 69 chassis.

I'm sure that any of the aftermarket ECU's can power it. The only trick part might be the DBW TB but you can either machine an adapter flange to use an LS DBW TB or convert it to a manual throttlebody. Everything else is just pulses and voltages.

Or you can just keep the stock ECU and figure out how to make that work.

edit: it looks like Holley already figured out the hemi DBW with they dominator ECU, that looks like a solid choice.

Mopar sells an aftermarket ECU, I don't see why it would care that you had a Hellcat engine instead of any other Gen 3 Hemi?

Dad looked into it for his 6.1 Satellite but it was pretty expensive and he's a budget kind of guy.

He's using some Mexican manual transmission Ram PCM with an older overdrive trans that he made his own kick down set up for the drive by wire pedal for. That manual trans truck ECU was something that worked without all the other inputs. If you want to know more about that as an option I can ask him.

They lost me when they said it was compatible with Windows 95.

Time to drag the desktop out into the garage!

It sounds like Diablosport might be able to get it running with the stock PCM like they did with the Gas Monkey 67 Dart Hellcat.
