Are you moving or talking about selling a flip house?

I bought a house in Novi and the house in Plymouth went up for sale 4 days ago

I'll PM you

how much you looking to spend?

as little as possible and still keep the wife happy, it's a MiniVan dude. Every $ spent on this is one less $ spent on something cool

Yes it is true, a Mini Van.

I don't know much about them and not sure I want to put the effort into learning.

What I'm looking for something under 100k miles, in great shape. I'll be using it to drive the family around town every now and again, for the babysitter to drive and when we take long trips like to Boston in two weeks. I got the idea when the little one move to a full sized baby seat and now it is next to impossible to fit two baby seats and an adult in the back seat :( Not to mention luggage.

Anyone with experience what would you recommend? Venture, Town and Country, Grand Caravan what are the differences? What should I stay away from?

Let me know if you have something and are willing to give a good price.

MY personal preference is the Chevy Astro and GMC safari. The Safari has more trim better seats but tends to cost more. It is kind of a combination of a s10 and a 1500 pickup. they tow better then all the other vans and even came in AWD versions.

They do have a few sore spots one being steering parts and ball joints around 100K and those parts together run anywhere from 1000-1500 installed at most shops depending on the quality of the parts. The other 2 big issues are intake gaskets and oil cooler line leaks.

Aside from that they are pretty durable.

I myself will be looking into the newer ls platform engines in the future for our astro as well. I was thinking about getting really geeky and putting in a hybrid drivetrain.

I have wanted to play with those Trans/generators but I know I wont find one at a JY cost :)
aand the van would give you plenty of space for the batteries.
how about an E85 turbo race van. the platform for me is awsome, alot of the truck parts swap over, so you can play where a venture/traverse is very limited in after market type of parts.

OH yea before Ken says it, alot of typhoon/syclone turbo stuff will swap over to the older engines...:)
