i use to drive my car everyday with a c4 and a 4.10 gear. no issues with it, at 75mph the car would be at 3100rpms.

Unless you had some wacky gears in your C4.....75mph/4.10 gears and a 1:1 final drive ratio will turn 3700rpm with a 28" tire and 3500rpm with a 30" tire. I doubt you were running over a 30" tire.

yeah I was gonna say, In my 3.73 car with a TH350 and 26's, I would be running close to 4000rpms at 75mph. Its gotta be close with 4.10s and 28's

There's a big difference between "not all that bad" and a street car. Anything can be driven on the street. Look at Dan Millen and Mike Moran. That doesn't make them street cars. A C4 with 4.10 and a 4k stall would not be something to take to the store, that's for sure.

used to drive a big block with 4.30 and 5500 converter with 28's on the freeway 65 for 20 to 30 miles with no issues...it's just hard on the tires.
