ok Kandied91z...your the first neg i heard about them.....but im kinda confused, you said dave or doug (employee there?) was one of the most talanted around...and said no shop has been able to make what you want....and you spent thousands.....thats a lot money to spend to be unhappy. why did they not fix your problem?
i have never been there, nor do i know anyone there...i just heard positive responces from others.
every place has horror stories. dave is the owner/boss, doug is the top installer there. at least this was what the situation was when i went there. please read a little closer, i never said doug was the most talented around, what i said was that he is talented and the best in their shop which isn't much out of a handful of employees but it's something.
i took a buy-out option, this option saved me a thousand in refinishing and final fitment. i didn't know how much work was involved to get the fitment right as if i knew how to do fiberglass at the time i would have done it myself. because they were taking such a long time and screwing up my paint in the process i took the option.
well the final fitment little did i know required alot... alot of work, upwards of several thousand to get it right. by taking the buy-out option i also screwed myself of any legal action i had towards dave and his little hole in the wall.
so in short to save myself a months time and get the car ready for a show i took the wrong option and legally screwed myself, but that still can't keep me from speaking the truth. you won't hear this from people paying $100-300 for simple carpeted boxes, that's not hard to screw up. it's the expensive jobs that require work and money but these are also the jobs that make a shop.
if doug had more time maybe it would have turned out alright, if dave wasn't such a prick maybe i would have had a nice setup that they could have actually been proud of and if i knew better i wouldn't have listened to them and made them finish it all. instead the only cool thing they have to show for it is the frame work of my door pannel and all i have is a expensive pile of wood.
you should see some of the photos of the pieces while i was trying to fix them as well as some of the wiring in the car, i had to have the car completely rewired. the worst thing i ever did with my car was go to that place...
