Anyone know much about Lemon Laws on leases??

What would be the reaction if your situation ended up with a more serious end result?

Example:
You use the car to go to a sporting event or work related function downtown Detroit/Pontiac and the malfunction with the vehicle gets much worse, stranding you in the middle of an unsafe area. You find yourself in a situation with some troubled character(s) and before you know it, you're making the obituaries or at minimum in ICU at the local hospital.

All because of an unreliable brand new vehicle.

Squeaky wheel gets the oil….

When I was in a similar situation, there was a room
full of people, half were screaming at the manager
saying they were on the phone with their Attorney’s,
the other half just sat there quietly in misery.

They assured us there was nothing they really couldn’t
do for any of us, we were all stuck. Well I decided to go
out front to the lot where folks were driving into the business
and as they did, I promptly & politely informed them of my problem.

Almost everyone of them didn’t ask me a single question, they simple
immediately drove off & left!

A miracle happened! Out of nowhere my car appears, ready to go,
no charge, no hassle, and a “thank you, now please leave”.

I appeared to be the only one to have been helped, that of course
was the sad part. But I did get my satisfaction, I was that “squeaky
wheel” and I “got the oil.”

Does your radio ever come on at full volume? That's the only issue that I had with my Journey... maybe one out of every 10 times that I would start it, BAM! Full volume radio. Scared the shit out of me every time. Got a few valets with it as well.

Follow up to my problems. Parkway seems to of fixed the problem. Going on a month now with no issues. Chrysler agreed to reimburse me 2 on my lease payments. Should be seeing a check in the mail in the next week for $620. from Chrysler.

My mom had an issue back in the 90's when she bought a used Taurus SHO. Turns out the car was previously involved in a rollover accident and the top was replaced along with some other work and the car was nothing but problems the first two weeks she owned it. We went to the dealership (Colonial Dodge back then) and they refused to do anything. I called the dealership manager and told him I was going to park the car out front on Mack with as many bushels full of lemons that I could put on the car and call the media. Suprisingly enough, they called her within an hour and said to bring the car back for a full refund. Don't know how well that would work in your situation but threatening bad press is a good way to get their attention.

Many many years ago, I bought a brand new ZX6 from Al Gaskill's in East Detroit (yeah, it was still East Detroit back then). I specifically asked ahead of time "it's not a California model, is it?" And was assured it wasn't...(extra smog shit, down about 5hp). When I finally got the bike, I found out that it was a Cali model. Then I got a letter in the mail from Kawi soliciting their extended warranty... I thought "WTF? I bought the extended warranty?!" Turns out they sold me on the Kawi warranty and then actually gave me their own "dealer warranty".

I called them up, complaining about both issues. They said there was nothing they could do. Everything was done, set in stone, etc, etc. Went 'round and 'round for weeks.

So, finally I made up some fliers detailing my experience and started sticking them on power line poles all around the area. Got a call right away, they cancelled their warranty, got me the Kawi warranty and paid for a $200 carb jet kit and tune through another mechanic to "de-California" it
