I am trying to figure out if one of my neighbors has it out for me, or is the city getting stricter. I have had 3 sets of tires in the back of my garage since I moved in almost 7 years ago. along with my mustang in the backyard, the only way you can see the stuff is if you go in my back yard. they gave me a notice to move the stuff. anyone else notice them getting worse?

They are getting worse... But if the only way they can see it if you are in the backyard... Someone called on you...

Well if you finally sell off those junk cars sitting around your house rather then hoarding them you probably wouldn't have so many problems with your neighbors.

Warren is getting stiff. They came around last summer and made us weedwack the weeds along our fence like about 6 feet back. (Business property) But they were really hard on residential properties as well. We heard a lot of customers complaining.

A year and a half ago I bought a decent, running, non junky looking 72' F-100. Drove it home (in Warren) parked it up my driveway and had to wait a couple days to get to the SOS. The very next day I had a citation on my front door stating if I didn't get it licensed and registered within the week, it would be towed. I called the officer and chewed them out telling them I never even had a chance to go to the SOS yet. He never told me if someone called or if was a random check, but I believe one of my old crotchety neighbors called. Other than the truck my yard and house are very well kept. A-holes!

You have too much government in Warren. Cops making $100,000 a year writing tickets at a a stop sign all day, politicians with gigantic pensions for a few years work, and now your ordinance group has so little to do that they sit around or (even worse) drive around all day and write tickets. You need the fucking tea party.

Quoted to show what a bunch of tools Warren cops are.

funny thing is boostcreep could not remeber how to attach stuff so he called me in his office to attach it for him. I told him watch they will think its the funniest thing ever posted . Rieko just backed me up on that

Cars and sets of tires don't belong in back yards. Tires back there for seven years? Come on. No one wants to look at your crap.

For reference, these are a few of the complaints our HOA has received in recent years:
-- "Those men" (as the neighborhood busy-body ass-munches refer to us) installed a gorgeous black wrought-iron appearing fence in their back yard (with a permit). You'd think we'd burned down their house with the fuss they made.
-- Someone in the neighborhood painted their shed bright green. Let's all have a good cry.
-- Another neighbor has a swing set in their backyard. Someone complained that they didn't like the color of the swing set.

When I make it big I'll be buying several acres, building to suit, and installing a moat.

Some of you from Warren may not be aware, but Warren does inspections section by section.
They announce which sections they inspect in advance. (I looked on their web site...I could not locate the schedule, but it comes in the mail)
When your section is up, they send every inspector they have to look for blight, and write tickets/warnings to everyone in violation.

Perhaps trying to clean up the city so it doesn't turn into a complete shithole like it's neighbor to the south.

They're actually out trying to get yards cleaned out do to neighboring cities becoming infested with rats. Keep your yard clean and you'll have nothing to worry about.

Necessarily no one could have called on you, but more than likely they could have too. We have a rat problem in St. Clair Shores, the inspectors come to my house, and go through my backyard to look at everyones around me to see if they have any violations. They also drive around and look for violations too.
