Anyone in MI have Brighthouse?

Actually on the phone right now setting up service in my new home.

$154/month gets me internet w/wifi (30 mb) 2 HD digital boxes with DVR for 2 TV's, 2 basic cable for 2 other TV's and home phone.

I had Brighthouse for years in my last house. Similar services to what Justin posted. The promotional rate that I got for 2 years was around there but once that was over it went up by at least $20.

I got UVerse in the new house and I like it. The cost is similar but a lot more features.

OK, so the pricing is roughly the same. My phone cord is curled up behind the TV. There are cheaper internet companies and cable companies. I love their service but I have a hard time paying $150 for what I believe should be not more than $75. @#$%!!!

You need to tell the salesman exactly what you want, not have him tell you what you think you want. Once you get across his preprogrammed salesman brain, then you negotiate a price. They try hard to keep the fish on the line, so don't cut him any slack ;). Don't be unreasonable about it, but often they will get you a better price.

That doesn't seem like too bad of a deal. Is that promotional pricing?

No. That's what I pay right now in my current home with a similar setup. Only I get 20mb down right now, so I'll have a little faster internet speeds.

If it was up to me I wouldnt have cable at all. I'd just netflix everything.

I have two business accounts with them, I will say they are completely fucking retarded though.

I havent found a single provider that has good customer service. Comcast, AT&T, Brighthouse they all suck. Bright house has been the "least shitty".

I ditched Dimhouse cable tv and kept the high speed Internet. I kept getting crappy tv reception, their PPV/on Demand interface sucked ass and I had several issues with connectivity. One week, I lost SOUND. This was with basic tv not even HD. After weekly service calls, new boxes, new coax run to the house 3x and their insistence to fruitlessly "reset the box" every goddam time I called, I told them to get their tv box.

We live too far down a dead end street to get DSL to work (tried 3x in 7 years), so I'm stuck with Dimhouse.

I now run WIFI to my Smart TV and we watch Netflix YouTube and Amazon Prime. If I can convince my wife, I'd ditch our land line too.

Their interface is terrible. AT&T was much better in that respect, much better equipment also. But the service itself was spotty. I would lose phone, internet, TV 3 or 4 times a week. No one could figure out why.

It seems like it's hit or miss. If you have a good installer and find a good contact you can get good service. But if you don't, you're going to have a bad time.

I've thought about cutting the cord myself. I don't watch much TV, and the shows I do watch usually get downloaded anyway.

We cut the cord when we moved to Poland (probably would have been more trouble to get US TV hooked up through a dish than it's worth) and don't miss it much. Surprisingly, the stuff we do miss is the local channels for the news and some live sports. I just hope my google tv box and 1channel tv app keeps working.

After some digging, I've found all the live sport streams I could ever watch on the internet. 1channel tv for everything else. When we move back I highly doubt we'll go back to dish or cable. Just a fast internet connection and an HD antenna and we'll be set.

1channel is awesome. Another good one is Much Movies HD.
