Anyone have pull in the Apple Store?

Does anyone have any pull or know anyone that works in an Apple Store.
I am in Law School, and my classes for this semester started May 3rd. I wanted a new computer so I waited as long as possible before classes started, because I knew apple does the Macbook Pro + Free Ipod deal in the summer. Unfortunately , I purchased my My Macbook Pro on April, 28th. Yesterday, Apple came out with the Free Ipod Touch with Macbook Pro Offer. Any advice? Or am I screwed?

30 day return policy. return + re-buy w/ ipod.

if you explain the situation they may be able to just do something with your receipt and give you the ipod.

Contact Apple Customer Service at 1-800-676-2775. They'll likely give you a credit or an iTunes gift card.

yes, do it ASAP! i was going to buy a MBP this week anyways, i'm glad this came up or i wouldn't have even known about it. im gonna order the ipod and the epson 50 printer. they both have mail in rebates. sell the new ipod for $150, and the printer for $50 (printer is free after $100 rebate). put $200 towards purchase price of laptop. good stuff, thanks! :D this is gonna end up costing me like $1150 out the door with applecare.

I did the rebates all online through the website. Easiest rebate submission I have ever done.

Bought mine last year. The 13" MBP was $1200 - $100 education discount - $100 printer (kept it, needed a printer) - $200 iPod Touch (sold it) = $800 for the laptop.

Not sure which iPod would make more money on ebay. But if anyone wants to keep the iPod, I would recommend paying the $100 for the 32GB (rebate will take off $200). It is 4x the memory and also running the latest hardware (iPhone 3GS-based, instead of 3G-based).

Put in whatever school you like on the Apple website. They never verify it.

I'm torn on the 13" MBP...do I or don't I want it. Or is it just I have money and like to waste it on stuff. $$$ What I really want is the Sager NP8690 but that's $2k+ with the options I chose.

I got the bike to keep me from wanting a new laptop and now that the bike's in the shop for a couple days I'm back to wanting to waste money on more stuff.

it's 30 days. i talked with a friend, and he went and got his ipod yesterday.

Ok, well Im just going to go to the store tomorrow, because on my receipt and on the website it says 14 days. I called customer service and they also said 14 days? Did he actually have to return his laptop, or did they just give him his ipod. I need to know if i need to put my files on a thumb drive and anticipate giving them my current Macbook Pro back.

If it were me I would definitely get the 13" MBP. Very portable, high quality, excellent battery life. Dump the rest into a desktop. AMD hexacore, Asus 870/sb850 mobo w/ USB3, 4GB DDR3, ATI HD 5850, etc. :whipped:

Apple also charges a restocking fee for anything that is opened when you return it. Check on that as well.
