Anyone have a GMC Terrain?

My I laws do, I've driven it a few times, nice little ride, but the 4cyl is underpowered and throttle tip-in is very lazy.

Coworker has one. V6 awd. Wishes fuel economy was better but I think he does well....Low 20s.

Our four cylinder Equinox gets 25 MPG with a lead foot driving it. I don't drive it often, but when I do I don't usually miss the extra two cylinders although it is a little buzzy noise wise.

We have a 2LT AWD I4 Equinox. My wife didn't like the fascia on the Terrain so that's why we didn't get that. We leased it because it was way cheaper to lease (they think the residual value is going to be like 25k in two years with 30k on the clock) and we didn't really like any of the AWD offerings from GM besides the ATS and I don't fit in it well. After driving it for a while we both think it's OK (sliding rear seat is pretty neat among other things) but it's severely underpowered (like 200/Focus/Cruze underpowered). Way nicer than a current-generation Escape or any of the other shitbox unibody SUV offerings out there.

It gets really good gas mileage (measured ~32mpg) at 65mph, on a calm day, in warm weather... right now it's about 21mpg combined city/highway. DIC usually shows just under 23mpg.

Best we've got with it is when I drive it. DIC shows the best ever as 37.4mpg. That was a 59mph day with few stops for about an hour.

Get the V6. It gets like 4mpg worse but is worth it. I mean honestly, my truck gets 16mpg on the same trip and has twice the horsepower and weighs 2000lbs more. 2LT or the equivalent in GMC is about the sweet spot for options. The premium cloth seats are worth it if you don't get leather.

What do you think of it?

Yeah I've got one, SLT2. I hate to admit it but I love it. It's comfortable as hell. Ive got a 4 cyl and it's incredibly slow, but I once got 35mpg driving through Ohio.

My mom drives it a lot. It's great for her because she has a bad back. Easy to get in and out of for her.

My mom does, she loves it. only complaint the inputs for USB for the radio are in a dumb spot.

TERRIBLE!

Sorry to say but my wifes Chrysler 200 is overpowered if u ask me for her anyway, alot of torquesteer and the thing is as fast as older 4.6 mustangs it went 14.20@98 1/4 spinning the tires at lapeer

It's midpack or below in it's segment. I't been a couple years since I've had one in for review, the exterior and interior were better than the Chevy equivalent, but the mileage was horrible, and the ride just OK. I thought so much of it, I didn't even do a write up or video review of it when I had it in.

Chrysler 200 I4: 173 hp at 3400lbs 19.65lbs/hp
Equinox AWD I4: 182hp at 3900lbs 21.42lbs/hp

Yeap, really setting the world on fire there. Must be the interior in the 200 they pulled out of the Caliber that makes it feel so fast.

200 has almost 300hp with the v6
is the terrain the one with the USB under the door ontop of the IP?

GMCs website shows it in the console where 90% of the rest of the industry keeps them. So I don't follow the complaints? Is it too deep in the console?

My MIL just got one a couple weeks ago, no complaints yet

No it has a 3.6 vvt 283HP v6 I guess it depends on what motor is in it. Anyone that buys a SUV with a 4cyl non turbo is gonna be powerless those motors originated in little cars and now they are building them in SUV that are heavy for fuel economy

The usb is mid way up the wall, so the cable or thumb drive sticks out making getting thing in and out. Pita
