Anyone have a 2011-2016 Superduty with a 6.7 Powerstroke?

My company is developing a fuel filter/water separator for 2011-16 6.7 Powerstroke and I am looking for test subjects. We are 15 units into a 50 piece field trial (free) and am starting to look for more suitable vehicles.

I have about 5 more lined up right now but after that I will be headed around the country to finalize the test. For obvious reasons doing as many in the local Detroit area just makes sense.

The product is a DAVCO Diesel Pro 243 and the attached photo should give you an idea of what the product looks like.

Feel free to chime in or email me at [email protected] for further information

Thx

I have a filter assembly like that on my freightliner, when you change the filter you have to add diesel through the top to prime it, how do you do that with this one? or don't you have to?

The black knob is a hand primer pump to fill the unit after servicing.

Who do you drive for?

oh ok that explains the spring then I think I see ? mine is super accessible so I just add fuel there when I change the filter and drain the water, but I drive a service truck for a equipment rental company in Nashville. the filter I have on the m2 is bigger I don't think the fuel level in it has ever creeped up to the change line, but we change it just as maintenance. Clean install though looks good, for road use I don't see a issue with it being mounted there, but if dirt and mud kicks up on it the black locking ring can be a pain in the ass to remove sometimes.

Thanks.

Here is a better shot of the primer plunger extended, it really makes priming the unit a breeze since you cant easily pour the cover full.

Some Ford models come with fender liners or they can be purchased from the dealer. We are installing product on trucks with and without to see how the "dirty" environment effects serviceability. The units without will definitely need some cleanup during filter servicing.

This shot shows the service wrench on the collar on a truck with the fender liner option
