anyone familiar with Honda Reflex scooter/bike?

I have an opportunity to pick up a mint, 1k mile 2002 for a grand. It's only problem is that when you start it up it flows fuel out of the carburetor overflow hose. I assume it may just need to disassemble and clean but it looks a little tricky to get the carb off. Anyone have some insight? This thing was over 5k brand new, and i see similar ones with 9k plus miles selling for 3K and up.
 
If its in good shape, buy it. Check the fuel tank for rust, and if its clean, you're in good shape. If its pissing fuel out of the overflow, the float is stuck in the carb, and it will need to be cleaned. I would recommend replacing the float needle and all the accessible o-rings. The carb isn't bad to clean at all, just be patient and pay attention.
 
I have a 2007 Reflex, love it! Get the shop manual and it goes over carburator overhaul. It is pretty simple. Parts are not as easy to find as it does not share enough with the big rukus, but not unsurmountable.

Freeway legal, 75mph easy. Do the kohler mod (weights on variator) for an easy boost in performance. Malossi makes cvt components, and I believe a 300cc kit. Leo Vance makes an exhaust for $400.

Oh I want it, its my aunt-in laws. She said shes just tired of it sitting in their garage and had a guy offer her 1k so i figure i may as well pick it up, fix it and see if its practical for me, if not sell for a good profit.
