I'm curious to see if anyone has in the Motown/ Port Huron area.

if so, what tranny you throw behind it?

I have a 351w and I wanna throw a t5 in if possible for something different.

hmm

I see..

I hear about c4's all day long which is cool, but like I said..I want something a little different.
Are the T5 bellhousings' detachable like the c4's are or no? (guessing not) Never saw one up close to be honest.

It's like trying to "go in for the first time" with a big bell on these tight little girls. haha

yes

man you guys got sick with the little rangers! I've seen a 460 in a older body before...no room what so ever! but I bet she ran nice.

what did you have to do with the 4.6 tranny's slave? Are those hydraulic like the rangers are? I thought I read that the old T5's were cabled in the stangs. (before the 4.6 was in)

i need one of those to drop into my mustang lol

it wasnt real fast. it was just a stock one with a cam, intake and carb on it. probably high 12s if that. put nitrous on it too but it just blew the tires away never put a slick on it...had one in a mustang too. i was young when i did that shit, thought a big block was the way to go. now i like small motors

I'm just looking for something that won't break. I'm not trying to run 9's or anything, but as long as it holds together and I'm not burning clutches all day long, I'm game.

any ideas?

I put a lil 383sbc/th400 combo in a 86 ranger back in grade school/ going into highschool.. It ran pretty good for what it was.

Now this is what I'm talking about! Put a little SBC in it with a powerglide and a little shot of laughing gas and hang on. I think I know a guy that can help ya out with a sbc/ powerglide in a truck!!:bigthumb:

haha BS BS!

I might not be the smartest mofo out there...but I do know one thing for certain! A chevy motor would never find a home in my Ranger's engine bay.

well...unless it was free.
