caught a glimpse of one of the national news shows yesterday and they reported that although Phillip Morris is spending alot more money on there ads to try and get people to quit smoking, at the same time they are adding more tobacco to there cigerettes to make it harder for people to quit, does anyone else find this as disturbing as I do. I have a 5 yo daughter, and it scares the hell out of me to think that there are companies like Phillip Morris making money off of death like that.

 You gotta give the marketing guy credit. I bet he got a nice bonus to figure that one out. "We're going to try to remind people to quit smoking but we're going to make it tougher for them to do it by doubling the amount of nicotine!" I don't think it's as bad in the states as say down in mexico. A pack of marlboros cost $2.00. People down there that don't know how to smoke are smoking just to smoke. Up in Canada it's another story. A pack of smokes costs about $10.00, and you can't smoke inside of anywhere.

distrubing, no.... From a business standpoint. Morally it's in inappropriate though.

but like i said before

"Show me the Money" ((best rod tidwell voice))

and they are probably only doing the stop smoking commercials as a tax writeoff. so they make make money on that too, in a sense. lol.
