Anyone able to smoke out lights (side markers)

The spray stuff works really good.

DO NOT, use the spray stuff, unless your tinting your 89 escort.

This is what a good set of tinted lights should look like. Basecoat/clear coat. Never fade, crack, peel. Wash, wax and maintain as you would you cars paint.

Were these...SPRAYED?

Nightshades worked good on my Camaros sidemarkers. Scuff, spray, clear, wetsand, polish. Turned out great. All about prep and process IMO.

Everybody has their own opnion on what works, what looks good, and what "good" is I suppose, I have seen tons of Nightshades jobs that have went wrong, Looked horrible, or didn't last. I used to use nightshades myself when I started doing these and had alot of bad experiences. Been using my method for over 5 years and have never had a single issue, complaint, or come back. I'll guarantee anything I paint for as long as you own it.

Yeah that's the stuff lol. I foun it works good as long as you use a few light coats. But the way you do it sounds better and looks awesome.

Yeah it can be used to look pretty good, but in the wrong hands it can be a dangerous coating lol

I had mine dome professionally. I would never try to do something like this with a diy kit. They never would have turned out like this.

We did these zr1 tail lights & side markers (front & rear) with lamin-x film which is made by 3m its a really nice product and is removable later on down the road if you want to sell the car.

If you want them painted/tinted have slideways do them. They look like they were factory tinted when he is done. Well worth it in IMO.

I vote for painted. Ive done it by either tinting the clear or tinting an intercoat base and then clearing. Both results were good. Never touched the DIY stuff. But they sell it at pepboys next to the chrome stickers so I dont exactly trust it!
