I am refering to high intensity discharge headlights.I have only had them on for a few days and I really like them but the poeple on the road do NOT like them or me for having them!!! but then again...:whocares:

i had them in another car, I'm upgrading all my rides to them,

i used to get told how bright they were but like i told them i do alot of rural driving and i would rather see something before its to late

ive been thinking about getting them on my truck, i only like the white though, not to big a fan of all the blue and yellow and stuff

Yeah I put the light blue and they are perfect I think but they have dark blue and purple, but I will have them on all my vehicles from now on. BIG difference!!

4300-6000K is the way to go. Anything higher is just to blue/purple. I'm going to be using a set of them on my next Non-beater vehicle for sure.

Are they in a projector housing? You may just need to aim the headlights for a nice cutoff line.

I want to get some eventually

and yes, in a non projector housing, you need to re-aim the lights, to lower the beam

I have the 6000k on my car. I love them! But because I was using a stock housing, I had to re-aim my headlights so I didn't blind oncoming drivers. I tested it out with another member on the board here, driving past him a few times. If you are bothering people, recheck your headlight alignment. Don't want to cause someone to inadvertently swerve into your path because of your lights.

Thats because you are using them in a housing not designed for them, you need to re aim them.

I have 6000K in my car. The Sport version (which I have) came with Halogen lights, but uses the same headlight as the Grand Touring version, which came with HIDs. So the projectors were already there...I just bought a kit online and installed it myself. Haven't had any issues.

These were taken right when I first installed them. Looks a bit different now with the yellow foglight bulbs (makes the headlights look more blue for some reason) and of course the FMIC sitting in there :D

on my grand national, they annoyed other drivers, but i didnt care too much because they put out like 4x the light. I just adjusted them down and toward center a bit on the drivers side and it got rid of about 70% of the flashing from oncoming's...good enough for me

I have 6k lows and fog lights and havent had anyone flash me with their high beams. I aimed the bulbs down and still have great output on the road. The cutoff isnt that bad for being in a halogen reflector housing either.

Halogen projectors are different than hid projectors. What type of halogen bulb was in the projectors originally?

90% of the time they are annoying as hell if they didn't come on the car.

That's is because 90% of people get 10k and put them in stock housings. People think, the higher the number the better the light. In reality, its worse light that hurts your vision at night. 4300k is as close to natural white light, and its the best color temperature you can get. I run 4300-6k only.

The best way out there, is to retrofit your car. Get a set of projectors from a Acura TSX, Infinity FX35, BMW, etc and put the projector in your factory housing. That is the only real way to get the full benefits from HIDs.
