I recently bougth my first chevy in over 20 years. Has anybody had any experience with the Holley or Wieand Stealth Ram intake for TPI engines?
I picked up a 90 vette convert with 57K miles. It is pretty torquey but after driving sbf's for years I am kinda disappointed in it's performance. I am looking around and there is not much out there for these cars?? I am thinking about a 383 kit with a set of ProComp 210's and a Holley Stealth Ram intake. Still thinking about what cam to get too???
My question about this intake is it looks like a high rev or a boost intake. What I have read it puts the power in the 5K rpm band??? Looking for some real world experience.
Thanks for the heads up on the intake height. How much does it not clear by? Can it be machined for clearance? ProComps are made in Australia. I have had good luck with them, especially the cnc'd version, I get them bare and build them myself, Isky 8005 springs, Isreali valves... I have found the castings actually cleaner than Edelbrocks.
My intent for the car is to pick up an extra 100 to 150 streetable horspower, not a strip car.
