Anybody remember White Boy Rick?

As governor I would unconditionally pardon every incarcerated nonviolent drug offender.
Drug laws are antithetical to the individual freedom that our nation supposedly holds dear.
I must spread some reputation around before giving it to you again lol :)

Such a fascinating and shocking story! There is no doubt he should have been out IMO.
Sounds like a good story for a movie/documentary.

I suspect Wershe can identify some very powerful people within the Political or Judicial system that are still alive (and possibly active) today that were involved with drug trafficking way back when.
Someone powerful is keeping him behind bars imo.
As a child informant he never should have been incarcerated.

Exactly. He knows too much and could probably bring down a lot of people if he is released.

I think Kim Worthy has some things to do with this as well. The again, it might be the higher ups telling her to keep him in. I have also read from an article long ago they are keeping him in there for his safety.

Geeee, how nice of them! I call BS...

Someone I know was given a life sentence w/o parole in 1992 for cocaine possession. He jumped bail and spent 7 years on the lamb. He was caught in 2000. He has done 17 years so far.

They are releasing him this summer.

I agree but our crooked system deems minors at the age of 17 as adults. If he would of been 16 he would of spent time in Juvenile Detention and then released. There is more to the story that we are not hearing, like the possibility of corrupt officials not wanting to get busted.

I know someone that served 20+ years under the Michigan lifer law for cocaine (650 grams +) .... Michigan supreme court ruled the lifer law was unconstitutional and he was released...WBR has served more years... and he was doing what he was told to do by the feds..... Law Suit IMO.

Seems like he'd be easier to snuff out if on the street.

Even if Michigan decides to release him from his life sentence, he still has 5 years to do in Florida where, while in prison there he pled guilty to being part of a behind bars auto theft scheme.
