i heard you guys talking bout slot car racing, and a few of you said you race rc cars. i just bought an rc car and was wondering where do u guys race? the car i bought was a nitro tec 4 so its an on road car and the guy at ryders told me theres not any places around here to race them.

They do indoor stuff on carpet at don polskis in wyandotte.. oak and 13/14th street... every thursday night, also as mentioned they do the parking lot stuff in the summer.

I used to do the indoor stuff all the time until they wouldn't let us use foamies anymore. Getting a buggy to work on rubber smoothies, on carpet, in mod class was almost impossible. The damn 4wd schumachers dominated over any 2wd chassis.

ryders in taylor, used to have races every weekend in the parking lot

the only place that runs nitro onroads that i know about....

i race onroad electric at larrys performance rc's at 18 and mound

and jsut bash around in my backyard/street

I use to run a Yokomo YR4M, Corally 1/12 pan car, and a Factory Team TC3 at Larry's a few years back. I also ran a Factory Team B4 at Dirt Burners. I cant wait to get back into them, much fun to be had.

Ya I showed these utards what a motown/ michigan nitro racer could do to these west coast boys!
...on the other hand the utards are schooling me in 10 scale 10.5 brushless 4 wheel buggy class. hahahaha
The local indoor clay track out here http://ir-cr.com/ has regular visits from quite a few big team drivers ie hitters.
Tony Newland... mugan, team acadamy
Cam Cameron...Kyosho
Joel Eaton...Team losi
and even the man him self Gil Losi jr now of Kyosho shows up once a month for the action!
10 scale off road is smoken out here!

Larry's is right up the road from me and the place to be on this side of town for indoor carpet. I keep saying I want to get back into it but to be competitive its going to take all new equipment and I can't justify it at this point! Its a great way to make winter pass though! There was always some 8-10 week winter points series to compete in.

I used to run 4wd open, which was a touring car with a modified. Sometimes they would make it so that everyone had to run the same spec tire whether it was foam or rubber, that was fun.

Last year when I stopped by Larrys it seems that the popular thing is 19T class for touring cars.

I got into it when I lived in Chicago back in 96. I would go on the test n tune day with my T2 and I was hooked. That year I ended up getting a old school Yokomo YZ10, and a XXCR. Oh the fun!
