The wheels or badges? Badges, I agree. Wheels I don't.

For example, a lot of people like the style of ZO6 wheels. I hate them, but that's neither here nor there. They like them so they put them on Camaros T/A's, regular Vettes, etc. Wheels are interchangeble and ok. And a nice wheels from another model car can drastically imprve the look of another car. Hell, I put Saleen replica wheels on my Cobra. Not because I wanted people to think my car was a Saleen, but because I really liked that style wheel. (no lip, 18", chrome, clean yet "blingy" design) Now to slap on badges from other cars trying to pass yours off as something it's not, that not ok.
To each to his own...

Your toy car is a Neon...a yellow one at that. Looks like a freaking M&M. Your opinion on vehicle exterior appearences doesn't count.

Good deal.

When I said the "worthless snapshot they show" I was referring to the short clip they show on the screen that tells what people's combos are. I didn't mean any disrespect or anything like that. I just wasn't sure how accurate those clips they show are. Looks like they are pretty damn accurate though.

Who's CNC ported LS6 heads are they? TSP, PP, ETP or someone elses? One of your custom grind cams? How many RPM's does that motor see???

Nice job on building that motor. That thing ran like a raped ape.

The heads Tim had done from a porter that has served him well in the past.

Motor typically goes through the traps at 8100rpm, has been as high as 8300rpm. He's been sorting the car out since the last two seasons and its doing pretty well for him.

Wheels, badges, rear picnic table (aka spoiler), whatever. Your original point was that not only was the Berger black making an SS or Z28 appear to be something it wasn't, but it was also ugly. Obviously it wasn't that they were trying to make it appear as though it was something it wasn't that was the problem but more the fact that you think it's ugly. Otherwise you would have a problem with Cobra facias and hoods on a GT (the infamous Fobras  ) or with putting Z06 vents and wheels on a regular vette. or SS wheels and hood on a Z28, etc. You get my point.

Personally, I don't have a problem with people painting that rear panel black any more than I have a problem with them putting Cobra R wheels on a GT or Z06 wheels on a regular vette or Camaro. To each their own.

That is, of course, unless you do something crazy like stick the Cobra R spoiler on a GT.:pow:

I do have a problem with Cobra fascia's on GT, ZO6 vents on regular Vette.

I liked the way that both cars launched almost exactly the same during all the races. Both cars launched with the hoops hanging for about the same height and distance.

Well, at least you are consistent! Wheels = Okay. Other crap = Not Okay. Sound about right?

Yeah, pretty much.

BUT, if wheels from one vehicle are put on another vehicle, the centercaps need to be adjusted accordingly.

ie

Vette wheels on a Camaro/Firebird = Vette logo cannot be on them
Saleen wheels on a Cobra/Mustang = Saleen logo cannot be on the wheels.

Appropriate center caps would be car matching logo or wheel mfgr logo.

and so on and so forth.

Just to get back on topic... what a great episode. I missed the first 10-15 minutes, but caught all the races. Awesome footage! Awesome finishes. No messin' around.
