any specific shock type?

I have lowering springs on my car currently but dont know what brand or specification they are cause they were on the car when i bought it. My shocks are shot im sure, the ride in my car is bumpy as hell and just wanted to know what a good type of shock to replace my current ones would be/good links to look for some? Also what other options to smooth out my ride a little do i have besides losing the lowering springs?

A nice set of adjustable will be your best friend. Kyb and Tokico unless you want to spend some coin on the higher end stuff.

American muscle has tokico blue's for a decent price. 100 for the front and 44 for the rear

is it a big deal if the shocks are non adjustable? also im just asuming 87-93 will work on my 86?
