any ideas?

nitrous motor. hasnt started in a few days. did comp test dry.

ground is tight. right near the ecm.

i am cutting up the harness now to find the stock coil wires
 
tried new cap and rotor. Still the same deal. Spark to the coilwire but not to the plug. Losing it in the cap. Could it be the hall sensor in the dist? That's all fixed in position so I can't see how it moved. But that's what tells the coil/ecm to fire. And its firing the spark to the coil wire. So how could that lose position? I hate to spend another $100 when thats not it. I also tried a new plug wire and there was no spark out of the dist
 
Anthony, Can you ohm check that fire wall adapter for the coil?

Maybe rig the coil closer to the distributor for testing. It seems you tested the coil in the car and got spark. Maybe you have a disconnect somewhere...
 
he has spark even at the coil wire connector that goes to the dist. too. literally right at the dist. so Im completely clueless about how hes got spark going into the dist. but not out...
 
Very low, like 10 ohms. And I have a msd coil wire coming off that. And getting spark st the end of the coil wire.

Coil-wire-firewall feed through-wire-spark plug= Have spark....

Coil-wire-firewall feed-wire-dist cap-plug wire-plug= no spark
 
and plugs, cap/rotor,distributor, modules from autozone and NOS Ford.



this REALLY sucks, i wanted to bring it to woodward.
 
Module have power? Check the module connections... And switch it out modules...


Fuck it anthony... bring me all the autozone bullshit parts... I'll swap them out... We will try everything...

i dont have any zone parts on there now. the module is a Ford part.

it has to have power, its firing the coil right? i put the Ford module on with the distributor i picked up yesterday, and used a new plug wire


but i appreciate the offer brother!

know anyone that needs a reman dist? only turned over 10-15x!:icon_mrgr:icon_mrgr
