I have a rental house that needs a letter of approval from a registered heating contractor on the state of the furnace. The furnace works fine, and i'd like to get this taken care of so it passes inspection. If you can help me out and want some quick money let me know

If any heating/cooling people read this thread, I would like some input too. I have a hanging furnace in my garage with a pilot light. I was wondering if it is possible to retrofit an electronic ignition unit to this so I don't have to worry about the pilot light blowing out when I have the doors open in the warmer weather. Let me know how much something like that would run.

A good friend of mine is a retired Detroit fire captain has been doing it for 30 years. He is very fair and does awesome work (I recomended him to my grandmother) His name is Tony (313) 598-8473

I can mail you something. I can get you a deal on equipment (my cost) but I can't take on install jobs that far away from home. I can get hanging unit heaters or even better for high ceilings, infrared systems.

I can get you a conversion kit. The kits are not cheap, you have to buy a gas valve, ignition control pilot burner and wiring. Last I checked the kits were over $150, my cost + installation. Waterford is a bunch farther than I want to drive to install it though.

I am an licensed, experienced HVAC contractor and refrigeration journeyman but make a living doing IT support. Too bad most of you guys live so far away from me (Wyandotte) or I'd even consider being a sponsor.
