well my buddy has twice and each times its taken a month to reverse his money. but 2 times in one week he visited small independant atms and went to withdrawl 100 and it only dispensed the last 40 of the machine.

but last night i withdrew 80 bucks at the bar. and after about 3 hours of drinks, pool, darts etc... i went to the atm to withdraw again and it wouldnt let me. call the number on the back of my atm card and for an hour i try to get an operater and still cant get transferred to a real person so i say fuck it.

blah blah blah

long story short i check this morning and there is a pending 402.75 transaction to my account that i never spent. im assuming the 275 is an atm fee, and 400 is the cash limit at a atm, but the sick thing is, i never had the car out of my pocket, and i was given a receipt at the atm. im not sure if it asked for another transaction. as soon as i get my receipt i walked away.

i hope this doesnt turn into a fiasco where i dont get paid

Sorry I didn't read the post at all and proceeded to tell my story about an ATM dispute but then realized it didn't really apply. lol

My guess is you'll need to submit a police report and you still might get screwed. The fact that you were at a bar will just lead them to assume you were drunk and pulled a bunch of money out and then regretted it the next day and made up a story. Obviously this isn't what happened but that's what they will try to sell.

Call the bar and see if they have any cameras or similar stories. Maybe they have someone that has done this before and that could help substantiate your story.

i just got off of the phone, and its showing it after the 80 dollar withdrawal, but no exact time or place until moday after midnight, so i will not know til tuesday

i just had to do two weeks ago... i left my car in the machine and someone walked up before it swallowed my card and took out $800... tomorrow is the day im supposed to know if im going to get my money back... comerica says 10 business days from when the investigation is started

No need to call the police, call the financial institution who issued your card. Tell them what happened, and eventually they will get an ATM report showing that there was a transaction out of balance. At the credit union I work for, its usually about a week turn around time before your money is credited back to your account. Some places are slower than others. ATMs, like any other financial service are balanced preiodically depending on how much use it gets...your friend WILL get his money back.

my friend is already settled, it just took about a month.

im worried if im going to get fucked for 402.75 lol
