Any certified mechanics willing to fill out a vehicle inspection sheet for me?

C) nobody asked for you trolling opinion on this thread, so if you don't want to help the guy kindly stfu.

Sorry I take exception to some of what said on this thread since soon is a friend and I know what transition he is looking to make.

Seemed like some reasonable responses were given here....Not sure where the "trolling" idea comes from. Perhaps you haven't been here long enough to know what real trolling is..:dunno:

For future reference, it looks like this.....;)

(I thought perhaps a visual aid might help....)

A) Soon2b8 drives a 2012 fusion (basically new car)
B) if you can't help him just say "no sorry dude, heres why".

Im not agreeing or disagreeing with you... but....

A) 2012, almost new or not, can still have 150k miles on it and be unsafe, could be a complete shitbox that was wrecked and rebuilt
B) If a state licensed tech signs off, they are held responsible if anything were to happen
C) sometimes, the best advice you can get is advice you are not asking for

There are many good points in the thread.

Trolling was poor word usage on my part, my apologies.
However with that said I still think it's a case of if you want to help the guy out great.. If not thats fine too (and leave it at that)

I see many of the forums points and they are valid. At the time of the posting I took issue not with the advise but how it was delivered ( from my perspective at the time).. So if I'm the bad guy here..whatever.

Mustangmike I appreciate your last post, it was clear and respectful and your message was heard. Hangem..keep your shinebox, don't have room for it😜

Maybe you were referring to me as the troll. Funny you defend this guy and think that the advise was poorly delivered, I don't see anything but polite responses here, especially considering what the guy is asking for. I initially took issue with the 5-10 minutes thought, which is laughable, a proper inspection is 30 minutes in a rush, and working without a hoist you could easily double that. I'd also hardly call a 2012 a new car, not even close, could easily be in need of major repair.
I fully agree with mikes post, especially point C.
Anyways I've said enough, carry on.

I've already apologised for my word usage and, jumping the gun. I wasn't aiming it at you ponyryd.
With that said this group has many micro groups of friends etc, the post was answered for help to my friend on the first page of the thread where really the thread should of stopped imho.

I’m sorry you feel the way you do. I wasn’t trying to offend
anyone. You need to understand when one asks for options / advice
on a internet guys car forum…….one is not always going to hear
what they might have expected – I know it’s happened to me!

We might not always say it the most tactful way, but most of
the time what does need to be said does get stated.

Have I ever been disappointed in a response here at MM?
Absolutely! But I have learned that folks around here are not
perfect……..and either am I.

It's all good 4gas. I wasn't trying to offend anyone either. but verbalized poorly. Hope nobody holds any grudges and we can still be cool with each other.
