Any certified mechanics willing to fill out a vehicle inspection sheet for me?

I just signed up to be an Uber partner and one of the last documents I need to upload is an inspection sheet for my car. I don't really have the time to take it in to a shop to have them do this so I was wondering if there would be any members on here who are certified and could possibly do this for me. If someone would like to help me out must shoot me a pm. I will pay you for the 5-10 minutes of your time that it takes. Thanks in advance. Curt

Probably a lot more than 5-10 minutes depending what the inspection entails....

Sounds like he is asking for the "inspection report", without actually
getting an inspection. Makes you wonder how he'll be able to drive
for Uber if he "don't really have the time to take it in to a shop ".

Sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen to me. I kinda always wondered if people realize the liability they are taking when they drive for uber. You are a paid taxi basically which seems to me would require proper licenses and business insurance.

All true, hence the vehicle inspection.

I was just talking to a person at Church today
& they were telling me all about the things you
have to go through / set up to be able to drive
for Uber.

I used to have to have a chauffeur license just because other employees would drive in a company car with me. Easy to get the license but what people don't realize is once you have a chauffeur or cdl penalties are much worse for you if you do have an issue. Even when u are off the clock in your own car. Uber seems like a good idea but not for me. I would much rather pay to keep drunks out of my car then get paid to take them. Unless they are hot women of course.

I've heard car insurance companies really don't like uber, and if they get wind of you driving for them your policy might need some adjusting.

correct, once you accept payment for driving people you need Buisness insurance and a special license

Lol, both good points, and kinda what I was thinking, not sure what certified mechanic would risk his licence to make a quick buck without actually checking the car out properly, to each his own I guess.

I can only imagine the amount of asspain you would get if the Uber driver crashed and injured his occupants. Im willing to bet they could go after you legally.

Not only risk his license, but by Michigan law a mechanics cannot charge for their services unless said services are preformed at a licensed facility. I don't now many people willing to risk loose their facility license and the fines that go with it.

Entertainment express is a joke, I know a guy who worked there he said all there stuff is patched up by anyone they can hire for $9 hr, they don't have one certified mechanic working there. He said they don't shut there cars off when there on a rental because they are afraid they won't start back up lol.

Ive only taken Uber 1 time. It was a older guy with a BRAND NEW jeep. The thing couldnt have had more than a couple hundred miles on it. It seemed like an easy transaction (another member on here had the account)

I drive a charter bus to get hired I had to supply a driving history report from the state
And get finger printed
And under go a criminal background check
What Does Uber require

I have customers drop their vehicles off for repair and use uber to get a ride to wk or home (and back)
Its amazing how fast from the time they swipe their phone to getting picked up. Its usually just a couple minuets (always less than 5)
Pick up cars have been always been fairly new vehicles. You can see a picture of the driver, their vehicle and read feed back from their previous passengers and pick through the pick up person/vehicle until you get one you like. (imagine if you could do that with a cab). Everyone I have spoken to loves it.

I have taken an Uber probably about 20-30 times, between Detroit, Nashville, Toledo, and Vegas. All were awesome, you rate them on the ride, and their is no cash exchanged, all done electronically through your phone after you get out of the vehicle, not even a tip. I highly recommend it.
