I picked this up a few months ago. I originally got it to tow the with but I often find myself at a red light waiting for someone to bite on the bait. :)

Here is a little sound clip of the DeathStar

It's got some stuff done to it. Not much, but it gets about 26-27 MPG, and will move out.

Nice truck! Care to share any details? Looks super clean, and its nice to see that others like to play with oil burners around here.

Looking good Matt! My cousin picked up a 2500HD after he just got back from Iraq. Nice looking trucks!

Thanks. I found the truck just before I came home from Afghanistan this year. It's from Michigan, but it found it's way to Albany, New York. Now, I know, you're thinking why would I buy an Up north Truck? But the fact is that this truck doesn't really have any rust. I bought it with 91K on it. It came with the 285/70/16s on it. I had it tuned as soon as I could. It was tuned by Diesel Addiction. It has a stock tune, economy +80hp, Towing, Lope Tune, and a Kill tune +120hp. I installed an MBRP 5" Turbo Back Exhaust system on it with a 6" tip. The Injectors have been replaced by the dealer in 2005 and I have checked the balance rates and fuel pressure regulator and all looks pretty good. Future mods include an MBRP stainless Downpipe, Air Intake, Intake elbow (Ported), lift pump, Built Suncoast transmission, and an additional 200hp tune.

2004 CCSB SLT
Leather Heated seats
PW PL PS On star
6.6L Turbo V8 Diesel
Allison 5 speed transmission
5" MBRP
Tune

nice truck and not a lot of those veteran plates around. I'm running vet plates on both my cars and just ordered two new ones - I'll post 'em when I get them.

You're gonna have tons of fun with that truck. If you have any questions about the upgrades you're planning, let me know- I've been playing with mine for a couple years now, so I've learned quite a bit- and lots the hard way. hahaha

Thanks, I had the choice between the Iraq or Afghanistan, I guess I'll get Iraq ones for my Mustang.

I've already had a blast over the last couple months. My next mods are already listed. Maybe you can provide some input. I also just purchased the Recon smoked cab lights. I've heard good and bad. People complaining about them leaking. I'm pretty good with stuff like that so I'll go ahead with it anyway.

you and rick should race. pretty much the same truck

Which rick? I'd go from a Dig.

That thing sounds sick on the lope tune!
Thanks!

are all the cars in your sig yours? or previous cars? whatsup with the mustang? and that truck is badass. going to be getting a newer truck soon been looking out for something like that but gotta get a lil more money up first

They are all mine. I used to have all my previous mustangs in the signature but it was a little too much. Although lately I've been playing with GM, my first 4 cars were mustangs.
The Notch is a 1987 that I got for free about 2 years ago. It's a SBF Nitrous car that I've been building with free parts. I'll be posting video and pics early next year.

Thanks for the compliment. I'm starting to like Diesels the more and more I learn about them. The new 2011 Superduty was my truck of choice but far above my budget. The LB7 Duramax was next on my list.

Your listed changes should work well, and all of it is worth the $$$ in my opinion. Dustin and the guys at Diesel Addiction know their stuff, and their tuning is top notch from what I've heard in the past. If it were me, I would do the trans first....that's where you'll see the most benefit. I have a Suncoast stage 3 that has been holding 550-600hp for over 50,000 miles. The stage 4 is a bit more sturdy, but unless you're racing or sled pulling, I don't see that big of a difference. More holding power is only worth the $$$ if ya need it. lol Do you plan on doing the build yourself?

I have been running an Air Dog lift pump for the past few years, and it has served me well. I had one fail, but the warranty is fantastic, and the company definitely stands behind their product.
As far as an intake, I really like my S&B set up. It fits well, and was one of the few that actually made some power over the stock system.

I have been thinking about those Recon cab lights- let me kow how they work out. I think people complain about them leaking because of installation errors.

Yeah Dustin is good to go. He just ran 10.72 in his Truck at my Track Rental. I plan to do the Suncoast 4 rebuild by myself. I'll let you know how the Cab lights go. I've horror stories, so I may just pay the local 4x4 shop to do it for 150.
