lol you could say that, its the girls...you know how that goes :seizure:

Like a dog pissing on a tree, the blue hair tie is marking her seat i guess

Some updates:

Shimmed the vavle springs recently and found a broken lifter in the process. We gained 500rpm from the shimming, the car now revs to 6700. Put her back on the mustang dyno and pulled 440/393, that with a major boost leak through some vaccum cap i put on, replaced it and have not got brand new numbers yet.

Will keep yall updated!

Hum...to run 110 oct. or not to

i'd run the race fuel, at least then you'll make as much power as i used to make.

:D

Why not, it's a buck more than premium at Sunoco at Pontiac Lake and M-59.

93 - $4.19
110 - $5.29

I dont think they have any yet...ive been checking for a month now. :(

John, just remember, the 110 will smoke your 02 sensors. But its also cheap insurance.

I didnt not know bout the 02's, see people dont tell me the bad lol

What do you mean by cheap insurance

Track yet?

not with this setup

Went to the track last year when i first bought the car, not sure of the hp it made then, but my first time ever driving at the track was 13.0 at 113, i was haveing trouble launching the 5 speed, like almost stalling lol, so with a driver mod i would guess 12.50 then.

When I talked to him last week he said "in 3 weeks".

Leaded gas will not "smoke your O2 sensors" that fast. Running straight leaded for over a year might result in needing new sensor's but who cares at that point. Besides, it sounds like he only puts a few thousand miles a year on the car anyway. Heck, just tune the car for open loop and be done with it.

ya i dont drive it that much. I just dont wanna go to crazy because i dont have all the funds to replace major shit lol

Its always better to have too much octane than not enough. Hot days are a bitch with boosted cars.

LOL...he has been using that line since late march.

I used to be able to run 2 tanks of 110/94 mix before an 02 sensor would get l-a-z-y. When the switching time is slowed down, its time for a change. No the check engine light never came on , but i wasnt going to take a chance.

Actually it's the cold days that are killer. More dense air = more boost, more power and more detonation.

Not really. As the ambient air temp goes up, the charge air temp also goes up. The hotter the charge , the more likely knock will occur.

I used to see it when i daily drove the gn from 96-02, and i see it on the dyno when i am calibrating engines at work.
