It's been a long journey starting back last year but we finally closed on our new house today. Just want to say thanks to Steve for handling the mortgage and coming through last minute to get everything wrapped up.
We started looking for houses back in Dec. of 13' and with the market having no inventory and very competitive we didn't have much luck finding anything in our budget. We looked everywhere from Milford to New Baltimore.
We ended up finding a nice 2000sqft bi-level ranch out in Almont. The prices out there are a little lower and there wasn't nearly as much competition.
We still have to wait since the sellers requested 30 days occupancy, and we have to finish our current home in Warren for rental, but we're excited and a bit frightened to have started this new journey.
I grew up in Warren and lived here for the last 9 years after college. I don't mind the city or our neighborhood but we're looking for a change of pace. The drive is an extra 15 minutes for me, the wife has an extra 20, but I think it will be worth it to be away from the hustle of bigger city life.
