Picked up this car a lil while back from a guy at work.

Its been sitting in a garage for 15 years, he started building it, got married, had kids and the car just sat.

Car as I got it has

2x3 frame rails from firewall back
Full tub's
Tin work done
Ladder bars
Narrowed 9"
Stretched/sectioned rear quarters
+2" wheel base
Whole bottom side was sand blasted and epoxy coated
Welds front and rear w/33"x11's under it right now

Cars going to get 25.5
Will be sporting a mild BBF with a glide hopefully it runs as good as the old red one did.

I really didn't plan on building anything this year as I'm in process on buying a house and expect to close with in the next month, buying it from family which gave me the option to go thru the house before purchase/closing inspection and update, clean etc..

Should have the car done for next year, prob be late in the year but hope to make some hits before snow falls in 13'

Made a little room the other night to help package the engine. I am really suprised how light the front of these cars are, not at all what I expected it to weight wheni cut it off.

Seeing as brakes are not on the "affordable" list for this year chute mount for some stopping safety.

More to come...

She's ugly as sin but I kinda dig it lol. Made some progress today got the car cleaned up and washed. Mounted fenders, adjusted door gaps, mounted the nose piece, radiator, master cylinder and ran brake lines, got the cage in primer as well.. no to shabby for one day. Motor goes in tomorrow!

Had to space the k-member down to clear the oil pan, the engine was put in via a crank centerline measurement and the suspension was fitted around the engine vrs the opposite. Spacers a billet aluminum 3/8"...

The factory style manual rack had some clearance issues so it and it's mounts were remove from the member and I welded in new tabs for a pinto style flaming river rack.

The car is a lot farther along than the last few pictures just haven't really stopped to take some new ones, had a few issues with things here and there so kinda at a holding point. Waiting for another convertor to show up cuz the height on the first one was a lil short. The convertor company made right on it, made a brand new one and shipped it out without me even getting the old/new one out the car yet. It'll be here before Friday. They're mailing a pre-paid return shipping label too... < now that's customer service!

I was waiting on my strutss to be done which I have to give it up to Doug and the guy's at OC Shock in ohio. Them boys not only rebuilt and re-valved my struts for me in under two weeks at a price much lower than i was given on the estimate they also shipped them back to me on good faith cuz they were unable to get a hold of me to process billing before shipping them out and they had to be shipped that day to have them to my door before the agreed date. Yeah they shipped them back to me without me even paying them! Good guys down there and they will get any and all my shock/strut business from here on out.

I'll get some more pic's tonight and tomorrow. I'm waiting on a relay board to show up from performance-electronics to finish up the wiring but I'll prob be mounting the ignition box and progressive tonight and running what wires i can. The headers are done so I'll grab a few pics of those too.
