Another car stolen

I was just woken up by Warren police. Some rat bastard stole my car. Luckily it was NOT MY MUSTANG. They snatched up my 1990 Buick Lesabre beater. It was sitting in front of my house. The officer said they had a "brief pursuit" across 8 mile and the guy jumped out of the car. They did catch him, and gave me a complaint number and urged me to press charges against him. I will certainly do this.
My wife is so unhappy living down here in the south end of Warren too. After finding a syringe on the sidewalk, to rats running through the backyard, to this.
After already having one Mustang stolen from me, my stomach dropped when I heard the pounding on my front door. I was actually relieved to find out that it was the beater Buick instead.

They just stopped back by and said that the ignition is busted up and the police could not get it restarted. So now I guess I get to pick it up in the morning from the impound yard. The car was located basically at Toepfer and Mound.

Who the hell steals a 19 year old Buick? I thought I heard before that 3800 engines are worth a little coin to thieves. They would have to move my work van and the Expedition to get to the garage for the Mustang. Not to say these dickbags won't try it.

I would guess they were looking to take it for a joy ride or trade it for some crack.

usually they steal the older ones and drive them up north, (lakeside mall) and leave them in the lot and steal a new one a drive it back to the hood. We get several older stolens a month. And there is always a newer model missing...

Now you get to pay inpound fee yaaaaaaa

That sucks!

Sad to say though this kind of shit is happening everywhere and it seems to be getting worse.

I can feel her pain about the rats though  My parents have problems with bigger critters out in Richmond....I'm not sure which is worse!

I have to pay $140 to get my car back. I guess now I have to go after the guy for damages to the car, plus the impound charges. I wonder if I should get a professional estimate for the steering column repairs instead of Parts Galore reciepts. :)

We found a nice place on the water in New Baltimore. It is being remodeled right now, and my lease here runs until September. I guess I have to stick it out for the summer.

This is crap...I had to leave my Mustang out over night the other day because the truck was in the garage torn apart...I didn't sleep to good that night. My car isn't the greatest...but it doesn't seem to make a difference for these guys.

I would try and get as much money out of that guy as I could...cause some how you will always be out something for this. Like the time you have to put in with dealing with this crap.

I also wonder how vindictive the guy will be when I press charges and try to get my money out of him. After all, he does know where I live.

Unfortunately for him, I will also know who he is.

I have room in my garage if you ever have to deal with that again.

A friend of mine lives over by you on Atlantic. Her 01 Grand Am was stolen a few months back. All they did was joy ride it and beat the shit out of it. She got it back and her insurance company paid for cosmetic damages. Well after having it back for a few weeks the transmission spit the differential through the side of the case. I'm sure its related to them beating it but the insurance wont cover it.

She now has gone as far as putting cameras up all around her house that record when triggered by motion. She's caught people a few times casing out her house when shes gone to work but she leaves her doberman in her yard and her rottweiller in the house and they haven't messed with her as of yet.
