And another one. 2008 Mercury Mariner.

Friends 2008 Mariner. Wash/claybar/wax. No buff. Full detail otherwise. This was more used car prep style. Some things are overly shiny IMO, but look nice. Took about 5 hours. Bought it brand new, 12k miles, never touched it, couple dogs, you get the idea. Bissel BIG green FTW! Lemme know what you guys think.

Looks good.

If I could suggest, when you shine anything but the tires. Wipe the stuff off with a clean dry lent free towel. It gives a nice new look, and not the shiny I'm covering something up look.

I usually do. Ive been playing around with different dressings and the like. This one is a fuzz shiner than normal. Like you, I'm a "natural" finish kinda guy, except for the tires of course, which must be extra shiny, at all times.

I like my tires to be between satin and shiny. I always let myself down in that department though.

 On these rides I like them shiny. Its Meguiars "Hot Shine" line on those tires.

On classic cars, or exotics, stuff like that, I would have something with more of a matte/satin to it.

Sadly, I havent found any off the shelf products I like on tires. I like a nice water based tire shine that I can cut to the strength I like. I should probably be a good son, and detail my dads roadster. Then of coarse take it out for a night.
