an fittings on a low pressure hose?

I'm converting my powersteering/hydraboost to an lines/fittings. Just curious what the best hose to use would be for the low pressure side. There are 2 hoses; each hose will have a -6 fitting and an open end on one side to slide over a barb. Is there a special fitting to use the stainless braided for a slide on barb style so the metal wire doesnt expand and look like crap? Or should I use something else?

russel makes clamps with built in covers for stuff like this

most of the AN barb connectors have a lip on them that you shove the braid into and it hold it together. I just wrapped my ends up with electrical tape and shoved it on the barb

yes will not work on teflon hose.
